Ursuline College junior forward Vanessa Consiglio was selected to the Capital One Academic All-District IV women’s soccer team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced Thursday (Oct. 30) afternoon.
She is the only women’s soccer player from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference to receive the honor.
Student-athletes on the Academic All-District team advance to the national ballot and are eligible for further recognition in the Capital One Academic All-America programs.
Consiglio, who carries a 3.95 GPA while majoring in business administration, leads the nation in assists with 16 and no other player in the country has more than 14. She also has 12 goals, the second most in the conference behind teammate Paige Rowan, to total 40 points which ranks her second in all of Division II.
Ursuline is idle until the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament semifinal round which will take place next Thursday (Nov. 6). The Arrows will play the winner of Saturday’s (Nov. 1) quarterfinal match between fourth-seeded Kentucky Wesleyan College and fifth-seeded Cedarville University at noon on November 6th.
